19th January 2021, three pieces of QRH were send to us for refurbishment from Vale Malaysia Minerals Sdn. Bhd.
Action taken :
- Conduct refurbishment / major overhaul on QRH.
- Clean and remove rusted and damaged parts.
- Remove capstan motor, capstan gearbox and capstan winch from QRH.
- Disassemble and overhaul capstan gearbox. Renew bearings and seals.
- Disassemble, service and repair 5.5kw motor. Change bearings, put varnish compound on stator coil, service rotor and testing.
- Disassemble hook no 1 and hook no 3. Check ceased and jammed parts.
- Fabricate damaged parts.
- Repainting / touch-up the wall with new paint.
Refurbish work finish on 4th March 2021
